Job Title: Controller / Benefits Administrator

Position Overview
The Controller / Benefits Administrator is a vital role in our fast-growing organization. This role will be responsible for multiple financial and operational aspects of the business and must be open to a wide variety of daily activities. Accounting is at the core of the job and responsibilities will include managing QuickBooks Online for multiple entities, full charge bookkeeping, accounting reconciliations, month-end closing, reporting, commission reconciliation and working with our CPA firm for tax compliance. HR Administration job duties will revolve around payroll, various employee benefits, and employee onboarding/offboarding. This role has an opportunity for growth based on an individual's experience and ability to lead projects and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for financial statements, managing P&Ls, balance sheets and cash flow reporting
- Reconciling daily sales at each restaurant location in QuickBooks & XtraChef
- Accounts Receivable including billing/ invoicing
- Accounts Payable including managing vendors and service contracts
- Prepare as well as review monthly account reconciliations and related journal entries
- Assist operations team with annual budgeting and forecasting
- Responsible for annual audits and financial reports
- Provide technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all locations
- Identify and assess financial issues
- Support monthly inventory processes to ensure accuracy and control
- Develop and improve organizational financial systems to ensure continued growth and business development
- Assist in maintaining system of internal controls
- Recommend, design, and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee company's month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Oversee the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Create timely monthly financial statements and present them to company's executives and top managers
- Ensure the compliance with state reporting requirements, applicable laws and tax filings
- Develop and enforce internal controls to support revenue management activities.
- Payroll Processing through QuickBooks for all entities
- Manage Employee Onboarding/ Offboarding
- Employee Benefits Administration including but not limited to: health insurance, vacation time, workers comp, unemployment benefits, etc.
- Miscellaneous Accounting & HR Functions not covered above
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant experience with multi-unit restaurant or hospitality company
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years in a Controller position with managerial experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong technical accounting skills including strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management team
- Flexible and self-directed with ability to stay focused and meet goals, while working independently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
