Job Summary
The Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Blue Diamond Materials’ HMA plants.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for daily operations of HMA plants- Responsible for supervision of plant employees
- Assist foremen in ordering all materials needed for production
- Inventory control of all materials
- Assist foremen with inventory reporting
- Perform daily tasks and operations in JDE, OnBase, and HeavyJob
- Hold responsibility for driving the safety culture at all facilities, including the facilitation of safety activities at the plants
- Oversee training of new hires; assist in cross-training of existing employees as needed
- Approve employee time daily
- Maintain good lines of communication with field staff and management
- Maintain 6S HMA standards at all plants
- Daily review of production and staffing needs
- Work with QC to ensure quality products
- Other duties as required
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED- 5 years of foreman experience, or in a construction/manufacturing role with management responsibilities
- Asphalt plant experience preferred
Skills
Willingness to travel between job sites and plants, with occasional out-of-state travel required- Flexibility with various shifts and weekends
- Clear driving record and valid Drivers’ License
- Computer, fax, printer, and copier experience
- Ability to communicate with employees, peers, and management
- Ability to effectively lead and direct
