Colbi Technologies is a software, training, and client services company that focuses on helping school districts and other public owners build, renovate, and repair their capital infrastructure, specifically schools. We have developed a robust suite of software products used in over 140 California school districts to streamline building programs, track and process paperwork efficiently, and pre-qualify bidders online.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Tustin, CA. The Accountant processes and retains financial transactions and records including A/R and A/P, customer invoices, and statement reconciliations. They verify financial data and provide valuable reporting and input toward maintaining the company’s financial health and realizing set goals.

Duties:

· Retains detailed accounting records

· Creates and distributes customer invoices

· Processes customer, employee, and vendor reimbursables

· Reconciles bank and credit card accounts

· Reconciles employee business expenses

· Maintains Balance Sheet

· Maintains P&L Statement

· Provides monthly KPI data

· Reviews employee time cards for customer billing errors

· Crosschecks all work to verify accuracy

· Develops spreadsheets/reports as needed

· Contributes toward procedure improvements by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes

· Determines the value of depreciable assets

· Increases job knowledge by participating in professional development opportunities, as appropriate

· Protects organization's value by maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role for at least three years
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, MS Office and cost accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
