What We Need:
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of O&M to oversee the service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the management and service of Solar (PV) and energy storage (BESS) systems. Ideal candidates will also have a proven track record of success in managing and growing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the O&M department, including talent retention and growth.
- Manage and develop operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations in the O&M department.
- Manage O&M department metrics, including P&L responsibility.
- Manage the team for effective asset management decision making.
- Maintain and manage processes for high quality customer service.
- Analyze and report on operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Effectively manage department growth.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Manage the budget for the operations department.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure company-wide success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, engineering, or energy management.
- Strong customer service mindset - experience managing a customer service-oriented O&M team
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams in the solar industry
- Knowledge and proven problem solving skills in the asset management of Solar (PV) and Energy storage systems (BESS)
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a large team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience with ticketing and asset management software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards in the solar energy industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing budgets and achieving operational goals.
