Cole Academy is conducting a search for a full time Superintendent. We are seeking to employ an innovative leader in education and administration upon the planned exit of our current superintendent.
Cole Academy is a public charter academy and consists of two elementary buildings serving kindergarten through fifth grade. Cole Academy is authorized by Central Michigan University since 1995. Our Lansing campus is located at 1915 W. Mount Hope Avenue and our East campus is located at 2921 E. Coleman Road in East Lansing. We are a member of the Ingham Intermediate School District and participate in its programs.

Selection Criteria
Earned a Master’s Degree from an approved institution of learning with additional study in educational administration.
Acquired successful experience in teaching and in the administration of schools and staff management.
Meets all the requirements for certification as established by the Michigan State Board of Education
Record of success in past positions to include improving academic and personal achievement for all students.
Proven experience with strategic planning and the ability to accomplish short and long range goals within the scope of the District’s vision and mission.
The ability to effectively oversee general administration of personnel, instruction, finance and building operations.
The ability to collaborate with all constituents of the district and its communities.
Strong record of honesty and trustworthiness.
The ability to represent the district in a professional manner with all stakeholders.

Cole Academy has finished each of the last two fiscal years with an operating surplus and is projected to end the year on June 30, 2022 with an operating surplus.
Cole Academy has had consistent enrollment growth related to the expansion of the district from one school to two schools.
Cole Academy has strong financial management practices which include conservative revenue and expenditure assumptions, monthly reporting to the board and long-term financial planning discussions.
