Coleman Recreational Adventures & Events is expanding its team of Coaches/Instructors, who are dedicated to helping archery grow.
The Archery Director reports to the CEO and is responsible for the safe operation of the Archery program for Coleman Recreational Adventures & Events. The Archery Supervisor must possess sound, mature judgment, and personal integrity with a strong commitment to working with youth and adult. The Archery Director must be 18 and must obtain a valid USA Archery Level 1 or 2 certification with in 1 years.
Job Responsibilities:
The Archery Coach/Instructor teaches instructional, hands-on archery classes to a diverse range of students. They provide complete instructions, including, body alignment, shot execution, muscle groups and corrections. The coach gives encouragement and constructive feedback on performance. Assists in creating and developing curriculum with outlines, visual aids, and handouts for classes. Provides support for all Archery Academy events including tournaments, off site demonstrations and leagues.
• Minimum USA Archery level 2 instructor Certification (or equivalent), or USA Archery level 1 instructor certification.
• Experience teaching adults and children on an introductory level.
• Must be available to work Weekends and Evenings.
• Prepare the archery range before class and dismantle after class.
• Strictly enforce the safety guidelines.
• Maintain the archery tackle, bows, arrows, targets, etc., keeping the closet and target area neat and organized.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Develop lesson plans and teaching aids.
• All other duties assigned.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
REQUIRES
· Requires USA Archery, National Field Archery Association or equivalent instructor certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
· Must be at least 18 years old.
· Must have experience in teaching archery in a group setting.
PREFERS
· Experience in teaching or leading ages 6 – 17.
· Prefer high school graduation or GED.
· Prefers CPR and First Aid certification. If not currently certified, requires instructor to obtain certification upon hire.
Salary : $18 - $20
