Job Description
Core Responsibilities:

Teaching college-level courses in the field of American Sign Language and Deafness.

Develop syllabi and course materials.

Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.

Provide and excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
- Courses taught at multiple campuses in Clark County.
Required Qualifications:
-
BA from a regionally accredited college or university. Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Deafness related field) from a regionally accredited College or University.

Documented and demonstrated American Sign Language competencies at an advanced level.
- Experience teaching in ASL.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Master's Degree. Experience working with interactive language laboratories.

ASTLA certification (American Sign Language Teachers Association)
- RID interpreter certification (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf)
Rate of pay:
$925 per credit for lecture per semester
Please Note: Day, evening, and weekend courses may be available.
