Who you are As a HVAC Watch Engineer in Boston MA, you are standing watch in the HVAC control room, using and interpreting technical equipment such as stack emissions analyzers and air analyzers. You help mechanics with routine equipment maintenance. You perform both control room and mechanical space inspection duties and serve as the site’s overall operating, maintenance, and repair trouble desk. What you bring: 5 year of experience in a building trade or related field Able to perform maintenance duties as directed by supervisor Familiarity with HVAC control systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel) Able to work a Mon-Fri schedule of 6am to 2:30pm with flexibility to cover a morning shift (5am to 3:30pm) or evening shift (2pm to 12:30am) as needed for vacation or sick day coverage. Bonus skills and experience Working knowledge of work order and preventative maintenance software systems Experience with painting, drywall and light carpentry/construction projects Flexibility in work schedule - available for off-hours emergency response Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks Trade or technical coursework with an emphasis on HVAC What success looks like: You monitor, set and adjust all HVAC control systems and troubleshoot in a timely manner You maintain up-to-date records to define all information related to preventive and corrective maintenance. You maintain a watch log recording define operating parameters each shift. You review and follow all safety and environmental procedures in your daily work.
