· Creating new projects in Master Builder (experience in Master Builder preferred)
· Payables: Prepare vendor checks pending approval of weekly cash flow report. All outgoing will be based on approved weekly cash flow projection. Monitor A/P reports to insure timely payment of invoices. Respond to vendor payment inquires.
· Manage and maintain A/P invoices and vendor COI’s
· Develop and implement various company policies & procedures to mitigate company risk, safeguard assets, ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, and to promote strong accounting and other business practices.
· Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP, FASB) rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.
· Ensure compliance with all taxing and regulatory agencies - includes but is not limited to:
· Coordination and assist in the preparation of annual income tax return, Quarterly Taxes, Property Taxes and Real-Estate taxes by the Company CPA
· Preparation of 1099s
· Annual registration on Sunbiz
· Filing vehicle registrations with the DOT
· Perform day-to-day accounting duties
· Scanning of documents and verify they are properly scanned to the correct category/folders
· Prepare, circulate, and collect construction draws for each project
· Prepare for and perform monthly and yearly accounting job close out and final close all jobs (WIP to Cost of Sales and Contract Deposits to SFH)
· Establish and manage escrow accounts with our attorney for clients funding with cash
· Maintain open construction and projected draw and cash flow reports
· Manage and collect outstanding receivables, rebates, refundable permits, and escrow accounts.
· Post deposits and cash receipts
· Perform credit card, home depot, lowes and escrow account and other reconciliations monthly.
· Manage multiple companies in the accounting system.
· Collect, deposit and assist in management of rent from tenants.
· Journal Entries
· Reconcile Job Costing
· Manage Business licensing and other licensing renewals and needs
· Maintain current insurance and documentation for local municipalities
· Manage and update Insurance Certificates and Vendor Agreements for all subcontractors
· Support in Third-Party payroll processing as needed
· Perform and assist with insurance audits for Workers Comp, General Liability, etc.
· Assist the Field Team with establishing utilities for new projects
· Assist in Human Resources support as needed
· Perform admin support
· Ad hoc projects as required
· Participate in monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting
Qualifications for position:
· A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field may be preferred
· Residential construction knowledge, 2 years minimum (Preferred)
· Strong work ethic and integrity
· Notary Public license may be required or preferred in some cases
· Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite productivity tools
· Ability to quickly learn and utilize industry-specific accounting tools
· Strongly detail-oriented with a heavy focus on maintaining accuracy and integrity of accounts
· Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to multitask across different types of accounting-related projects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
