Collins Engineers has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bridge Inspection Team Leader for our Alaska office. This candidate will manage and perform structural inspections on bridges and ancillary structures.

This role will serve as the Team Leader and Project Manager on various projects primarily in Alaska and the Western United States.

The Team Leader is responsible for leading inspection teams and assisting in the successful completion of inspection and design projects.

• Manages above water and underwater bridge and ancillary design, inspection, and evaluations.
• Reviews, analyzes, and provides recommendations on field and / or design issues or adaptations.
• Assists in proposal preparation.
• Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
• Responsible for moderately engineering projects in field and office in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Performs engineering computations and estimates on designing engineering projects.
• Prepares complete engineering plans or reports.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment such as AutoCad, Microstation, and Civil3D to prepare engineering and design documents.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU NEED

• Bachelor's degree and / or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university and a minimum of 4 to 5 years of bridge or ancillary structure inspection experience.
• Must have passed the NHI / FHWA Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course.
• NHI Fracture Critical Course preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred or ability to get within a year
• NICET certification preferred
• Valid driver's license
