Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment in data center environments.
- Perform field service activities such as equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Conduct network installations, including running cables, terminating connections, and testing connectivity.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operation of the data center.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Assist in the implementation of network security measures to protect data center infrastructure.
- Perform electrical work as needed to support data center operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and protocols.
- Experience working with Juniper or Avaya network equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Ethernet technologies and standards.
- Understanding of data center operations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to perform basic electrical work.
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
