Pre-Press Assistant Job Description:

Color Craft is an industry leading provider of printed folding cartons to food and consumer products companies. We are experiencing some rapid growth and need people who want to grow with us.
Duties and Responsibilities: List the jobs essential or primary duties and responsibilities.
* File Proof folders in plate folders (This will be a daily task)
* File plate folders in folder closet (This will be a daily task)
* Reading job tickets, confirming correct part number, ink, die
* Perform reviews on supplied pdfs for printability
* Verify die line, check ink usage, artwork fit to die
* Create cut down samples
* Prep customer supplied artwork (ai or pdf) for output
* Add die line
Create Plate/Proof and art folders
Output Epson color proofs and/or PDFs
*Send to customer for approval
Create impositions utilizing Adobe Illustrator
*Check impositions for accuracy
*Output layout file to proofer
* Plate approved imposition
* Deliver plates to appropriate press
* Check press for tickets and correct plates
* File ink deliveries – must be able to lift and carry up to 40#
* Troubleshoot problematic files
* Find folders for each job
* Pull job tickets per production schedule
* Comply with all AIB regulations
* Cleaning and general housekeeping of work area
* Understand and follow all safety rules and procedures
* Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor
Education / Training / Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
Minimum requirements (training, experience, education):
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Organization skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy are a must
-Adobe Products experience REQUIRED - (Will be a back up in pre-press/design area)
