Description
Position Purpose:
The Math Interventionist is responsible for providing comprehensive academic support and guidance to students in order to enhance their learning experience, promote academic success, and facilitate their personal and educational growth. The Math Interventionist collaborates with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop strategies and implement interventions that address individual student needs and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Job Duties

Upholds CEC’s beliefs found on the CEC website.

Review weekly data trends in math courses.

Analyze math data trends from a variety of sources.

Progress monitor intervention trends.
-
Identify and progress monitor math intervention strategies.
-
Provide intervention direct services to students.
-
Oversee implementation of math intervention curriculum.

Collaborate with academic team members including teachers, instructional coach, MTSS Coordinator and Leadership Team.

Provide individualized coaching and academic support to students to enhance their learning, study skills, and academic performance.

Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify student strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

Collaborate with students, parents, and teachers to develop individualized academic success plans and strategies.

Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions as necessary.

Assist students in setting goals, developing action plans, and creating a roadmap for their academic journey.

Provide guidance and resources on effective study techniques, time management, and organizational skills.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic motivation.

Collaborate with teachers to align academic support services with classroom instruction and curriculum objectives.

Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and support provided in Infinite Campus.

Grading assignments and providing feedback in a timely manner.

Developing curriculum and providing lesson plans

Stay updated on best practices in academic coaching and student support services through professional development activities.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education (Master's degree preferred).

Teaching or tutoring experience preferred.

Previous experience working with students.

Strong understanding of educational principles, learning styles, and student development theories.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, parents, and teachers.

Ability to assess student needs, identify barriers to academic success, and develop appropriate interventions.

Proficiency in utilizing technology and software applications relevant to academic support and coaching.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and ethical guidelines related to student privacy and confidentiality.
Salary : $48,000 - $66,413
