The Admissions Team welcomes invitations for an Admissions Counselor – Graduate & International. The role is a highly visible professional responsible for: increasing awareness of the traditional and online graduate programs at Colorado School of Mines, with prospective international students; increasing the quality and quantity of international applications for graduate programs; and increasing enrollment in specific programs at Mines. The Admissions Counselor – Graduate & International works under the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions – Graduate Recruitment and in close coordination with the graduate recruitment team, the undergraduate international admissions counselor and the Executive Director of Admissions. The position will also collaborate closely with the Assistant Vice President for Online Education, Dean of Graduate Studies, and the Global Education team.
The graduate programs at Mines are built, managed, and supported by world-class Mines faculty and staff who create relevant and innovative courses for an exceptional educational experience. Currently, Mines offers ~30 graduate programs, ranging in degree types from certificates through PhD’s, with new program expansion in 2023. The Office of Admissions provides enrollment management for both undergraduate and graduate students at Colorado School of Mines. The Office of Admissions is functionally divided into three areas: Recruiting, Marketing and Communications, and Systems. The work unit in which this position functions is primarily Graduate Recruiting. This operating unit is responsible for providing services needed by prospective graduate students, applicants to graduate school, and incoming graduate students at Mines.
The Graduate Recruiter must function with a high degree of independence in decision making to allow for timely and, often, individualized attention and service to online graduate prospects, applicants, and incoming students.

Mines takes into consideration a combination of candidate’s education, training and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
