What are the responsibilities and job description for the MDA Unified Communications Specialist position at COLSA?
General Summary
Provides unified communication systems and service throughout the Missile Defense Agency that can handle unclassified and/or classified information at any MDA location both in the U.S. and internationally. Service includes room-based and desktop VTC equipment and services, classified and unclassified phone services (wired and wireless), collaboration systems and services, A/V system design and implementation, and emergent and new technologies projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Provides technical feedback to government for considerations to engage in planned situations and how it may affect the MDA community.
- Develops and reviews presentations and charts for scheduled government meetings.
- Tracks, monitors, and provides metrics for dashboard that provide status of deployed equipment, equipment inventory, and damaged equipment.
- Provides management oversight for DRSN core services, on-site operations, and maintenance including design activities.
- Provides management oversight of the MDA Wireless Services contract and day-to-day operations of wireless services to all MDA mobile customers.
- Provides active support for new service activations, terminations, suspensions, world-wide international coverage, user information updates, voicemail resets, voicemail PIN resets, and monthly usage reports.
- Reviews and evaluates plan for transitioning to a new technology or capability of the wireless services infrastructure.

< br / > < br / > Required Experience < br / >- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- An Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
- Active Security CE Certification
- Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with planning, deploying, and supporting IT network and infrastructure solutions
- Familiarity with Cisco, Microsoft, or VMWare products
- 5 years experience supporting missile defense
