Primary Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance
- Assist with general building maintenance and repair as assigned
- Assist with planning tools/items that may be needed to complete assignments
- Assist with building renovations and new equipment installations
- Must be available to assist with snow/ice removal
- Assist with preventive and general maintenance of company vehicles
Additional Responsibilities
- Deliver and distribute mail between locations
- Coordinate daily with kitchen staff and deliver lunch to preschool locations
- Return food cambros to kitchen daily
- Shop for school supplies as assigned
- Set up and break down school events as assigned
Operations and Relationships
- Present a positive image of Columbia Academy to the community through all activities

- Regularly communicate with Facilities Operations Manager and school administrators

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent judgement and decision-making skills
- Ability to solve problems as they arise
- Knowledge of materials and methods related to general maintenance
- Experience with and ability to use common tools including hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, electrical and electronic testing devices
- Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform heavy physical work; regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Be willing to learn
- As needed, must be willing to work overtime including weekends, especially during snow events
Education and Experience
- High School or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience
Other Qualifications
- Professional presentation
- US citizen or current work visa
- Clean and valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
- 18 years of age
- State of MD and FBI fingerprint supported background clearance
