Human Resources/ Safety Manager
Columbia Forest Products, Mellen, Wisconsin is seeking a Human Resources/ Safety Manager to join our team. QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years HR experience in Manufacturing - Multi-Shift Facilities and education in human resources or a related field with an associate/bachelor’s degree preferred.
Responsible for recruitment, retention, employee relations, conflict resolution, employee development, policy administration, worker’s compensation, safety programs, and working closely with various committees.
Work Life Balance: Standard Manufacturing Schedule (occasional exceptions): Monday through Friday
Process payroll and resolve any payroll errors in our UKG/KRONOS system.
Extensive knowledge in employment law: ADA, EEOC, DOL etc.
Working knowledge of Wisconsin Unemployment.
Experience with Federal & Wisconsin FMLA administration.
Ability to problem solve-both an organizational and personal nature.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels and in a variety of circumstances.
Working knowledge of HRIS/Payroll Programs.
Knowledge of OSHA standards.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
Able to effectively promote workplace safety in accordance with the goals and values of Columbia Forest Products.
Computer literacy- word processing, spreadsheets, database presentation, software, e-mail.
Bilingual a plus but not required.
Pay starts at $60,000.00 with a $5,000.00 raise with a good review at 6 months.
