What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at Columbia Forest Products?
The Quality Manager is responsible for all aspects of the plant's quality program including:
- supporting and managing through core values
- FSC Site Manager; responsible for all mill training and FSC compliance
- CARB Site Manager; includes sample audits and reviews
- understanding customer expectations of and needs from our product
- developing quality control processes
- ensuring products are designed with adherence to HPVA and safety standards
- examining the quality of raw materials that are used in production
- monitoring and evaluating internal production processes
- evaluating final output of products to determine if quality meets standards
- engaging with customers, sales and manufacturing/maintenance staff and gathering product feedback
- producing statistical reports on quality standards through Power BI
- auditing and evaluating all customer claims
This individual must be a self-starter, team player and self motivated. Strong analytical and reporting skills as well as oral and written communications skills required. Efficient with Microsoft Office 365.
