What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Coordinator position at Columbia Forest Products?
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring the safety and health programs at the Newport, VT, facility. This person is responsible for conducting safety inspections, incident investigation and analysis, safety training, safety reporting, and internal communications regarding safety and health matters. They will also serve as the primary liaison with safety and health regulatory agencies, such as VOSHA. It is critical that this individual possesses a thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes in order to advise management on safe work practices.
