We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Estimator to join our growing residential, commercial, and industrial team. Must be teachable and willing to learn. SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Eligible candidates are required to possess the following:
· Review and evaluate project plans and specifications, bid documents, as well as other relevant project documents to identify what is needed for a project and to create a bid proposal.
· Perform and input accurate take offs.
· Communicate with engineers and other leadership to develop clear understanding of project scope during preparation of estimate.
· Calculate the cost of electrical construction based on reviewing and evaluating available documents.
· Analyze project for value engineering options while considering specific job conditions that may affect labor and material to be purchased and installed.
· Capable of estimating projects up to $5 million.
· Identify any inconsistent issues, conflicts, and other problems in the bid documents.
· Assist senior staff in ways to make process more efficient and seek ways to improve accuracy.
· Develop relationships with the project team members, suppliers, General Contractors, and field crews.
· Identify opportunities for shop fabrication (prefab).
· Support in pre-planning for projects.
· Support in budget development for successful projects.
· Support in maintaining and building database in Accubid.
· Support in BIM development.
· Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures.
· Maintains project documents such as drawings and specifications in an organized and reasonable manner. Maintains project files on the file server in accordance with company standards.
· Maintains and updates data library of costs.
· Prepares cost reconciliation between two or more estimates and explains variance and cost drivers.
· Identify strategies to create bid advantages.
· Anticipate potential problems and devise solutions proactively.
· Request material and equipment quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers.
· Review quotes to confirm adherence to quote requests and accuracy of quotes received.
· Develops and maintains a positive relationship with vendors.
· Prepares bid documents including specific scope letter for each project. Collaborates with project team on adjustments for buy-outs, labor rates, productivity, etc.
· Prepares budget pricing.
· Must successfully complete pre-employment drug testing.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
· Successfully completed electrical 4 or 5-year apprenticeship (preferred).
· Successfully completed Construction Management Bachelor’s (preferred).
· Four years estimating experience or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience.
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Ability to lift 10-lbs.
· Excellent time management skill.
· Ability to determine prioritize important tasks and complete most important tasks first.
· Ability to work under pressure.
