Clinical Support Medical Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Support Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Clinical Support Medical Assistant you will work with the Medical Assistant Manager and Medical Support Manager to improve the quality and efficiency of patient services and work as a team member for the effective and efficient delivery of medical care services to CRH patients.

This position requires:

- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish with certification or the ability to become certified as a Medical Interpreter.

- Certification as a Medical Assistant or willingness/ability to obtain certification within 12 months.

- Certified in Basic Life Support or ability to obtain certification upon employment.

- Previous experience as a medical assistant or experience working in a clinical support role.

- Basic familiarity with routine medical protocol and terminology.

- Affable attitude to accept directions, constructive criticism, and work with all personnel and patients.

Responsibilities:
- Managing communications with patients, insurers and medical staff.

- Answering phone, documenting incoming/outgoing calls, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments.

- Completing, coding, necessary paperwork for insurance, FMLA, prior authorizations.

- Recording, updating and maintaining information in electronic medical record system.
