Description:
A high degree of technical support and professionalism is required for this role. You will be actively engaged with researchers to help establish accounts, open and route support tickets, respond to complaints, troubleshoot issues, and more. The large majority of support will take place via email and phone. Some support in-person may also be required.
You have an opportunity to make a direct impact by supporting users and their work through both one-on-one support and supporting user documentation.- Perform account administration and HPC user assistance.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to HPC user questions and problem tickets.
- Consistent follow-up with stakeholders
- Document interactions and resolutions.
- Support user’s use of commercial, internal, and open-source applications.
- Create and maintain documentation for user reference.
- Notify users of upcoming maintenance periods for HPC systems
- Process software and configuration change requests from users and HPCMP.
- Reach out to users regarding activity on the systems.
- Suggest corrections or workarounds as needed.
Qualifications:
- An active Top Secret clearance.
- Excellent communication skills
- Attentive to details
- Self-motivated
- Works well in teams
- Troubleshooting aptitude
- Knowledge and experience with MS Office Products
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Knowledge and experience in Support Ticketing Systems, Programming Languages, Linux Operating Systems, Shell Scripting Languages, Parallel Computing Concepts, and HPC Scheduling Software.
