Position Overview
This is an exempt, management position, reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO). Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of Columbia Wellness. Establish and implement a functioning business, administrative and a talent strategy that aligns with the agency's strategic plan. This role serves as a community liaison to our partner agencies, providing information to the community on programs available at Columbia Wellness and works collaboratively to identify community needs. Other duties as assigned by Chief Operations Officer.
Summary of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce.
- Responsible for productivity and performance of team members.
- Responsible for maintaining department budget limit.
- Responsible for staffing levels.
- Addresses problems across functional areas of the business.
- Coordinate and timely delivery of annual evaluations.
- Addresses unexcused absences and tracks any concerning patterns.
- Responsible for timely addressing any back-logs and ensuring departments are compliant.
- Responsible for contract compliance by program.
- Responsible for contract reporting.
- Follows Columbia Wellness Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Establish or maintain cooperative relationships with representatives from partner agencies in the community.
- Plan or direct development or communication of programs to maintain favorable public or stockholder perceptions of an organization's accomplishments, agenda, or environmental responsibility.
- Provide information to community groups on issues related to improving access to mental health services.
- Distribute CW-approved flyers, brochures, or other informational or educational documents to inform members of a targeted community.
- Build and maintain community relationships through the attendance of community meetings and events to understand community issues or build relationships with community members as directed.
- Responsible for ordering supplies, food, equipment.
- Maintaining ACAC accreditation criteria.
- On-call pay will be added to salary.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in a business-related discipline and five years' experience in a medical setting. Will consider a candidate with a willingness to attain a bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree and over five years' experience.
- Five years management experience.
- Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Family Medical Leave Act.
- Computer experience is required, skills with Microsoft Office products.
- Must work well independently, as well as within a team, and be able to organize, and prioritize, multiple tasks.
- Possess strong supervisory and leadership skills in addition to a substantial knowledge base and skills relating to the clinical and legal issues of behavioral health treatment
- Be an effective communicator who encourages professional growth and promotes change on behalf of program goals
- Use technology effectively including but not limited to: computers, phones, email, EMR, etc.
- Ability to work with difficult cases and vulnerable population
- Helpful, respectful, approachable and team-oriented
- Ability to manage time effectively, including but not limited to: planning ahead where possible and being punctual in person and with work performed
- Receptive to feedback, willing to learn, and embrace continuous improvement
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to be flexible and manage urgent and crisis situations
- Ability to motivate staff and develop a working team around individual cases
- Must be able to assist in conflict resolution
Salary: Depends on qualifications and years of relevant experience.
