About the Job
We have an opening for a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) at our programs in Portland, Oregon. The Psychiatric RN is primarily responsible for teaching and monitoring medication administration to non-licensed caregivers and ensuring that the health needs of each client are identified and proper care obtained. The Psychiatric RN provides professional psychiatric nursing care for individuals affected by a severe and persistent mental illness in an outpatient clinical setting. This position assists in formulating a diagnosis, as well as developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on observations. This position will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.
ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (Full Time Day with occasional evenings/weekend on-call availability by phone)

Starting at $6,666 per month DOE/Credentials.
What You’ll Need
- MUST have an Associate degree in Nursing
- Bachelor degree in Nursing Preferred
- MUST have a valid Registered Nursing License issued by the Oregon State Board of Registered Nursing
- Previous experience providing acute psychiatric care or outpatient community mental health treatment required
Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
