POSITION SUMMARY:

The Student Success Coordinator will collaborate with the Student Support Services Team and classroom teachers to link our PBIS, SEL, and Instructional initiatives to maximize student success. This position is grant-funded.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Serve as a member of the PBIS Team and advisor to the Student Support Services Team
  • Monitor and encourage through continued training opportunities and public awareness campaigns, staff and student usage of PBIS App
  • Manage the flow of inventory into and out of the PBIS and Student Success Store Stores, manage student volunteers, monitor and encourage student patronage of the PBIS and Student Success Stores through continued training opportunities and awareness campaigns
  • Plan, facilitate, and execute student success celebrations for grades, attendance, and behavior
  • Manage the e-hallpass application and link outcomes to our PBIS Rewards program, monitor student usage of e-hallpass to ensure students have proper hallway credentials and collaborate with administration for improved student outcomes
  • Facilitate the operations of our WRHS Girls Group by arranging meeting times, spaces, attendees, and resources, and enhance student participation with advertising and recruitment drives
  • Facilitate and coordinate the clerical requirements of our attendance intervention program and link positive student outcomes to our PBIS Rewards Program
  • Coordinate parent engagement activities, encourage parent participation in Open House, Parent Teacher Conferences, and other engagement events, encourage 100% parent participation with Parent Portal, provide support for parents with Parent Portal

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Related field
  • License in Education or Social Work
  • 3 years documented success working with children

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SEL Certification
  • License in Education or Social Work

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to connect and engage with high school aged students from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to engage parents in activities that support student achievement
  • Excellent negotiation skills and willingness to provide superior customer service
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to use MS Office Suite, Zoom, MS Teams
  • Ability to learn use Infinite Campus, e-hallpass, PBIS Rewards App

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Tools/Equipment Use: Desktop PC with keyboard and mouse, laptop, scanner, calculator, software, desk, and adjustable chair.
  • Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting.
  • Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of a mouse; occasional reaching
  • Lifting: Occasional lifting and carrying (less than 10 pounds)
  • Environment: Works in office setting; may require occasional irregular hours and/or prolonged hours.
  • Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position.
  • Mental Demands: Maintains emotional control under stress; works with frequent interruptions.
