This position is responsible for supervising facilities maintenance and carpentry activities.
- Supervises workers and inmates.
- Trains new employees and inmates.
- Performs evaluations of subordinates and inmates.
- Performs inventory control.
- Estimates time and material for work requests.
- Coordinates special projects.
- Assists with HVAC and plumbing procedures as needed.
- Performs maintenance and repair of MCP facility.
- Performs preventive maintenance on the MCP facility.
- Assists other departments with maintenance work.
- Maintains and expands job knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of OSHA Safety Rules.
Knowledge of Southern Building Codes.
Knowledge of management and supervisory techniques.
Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
Knowledge of accepted personnel practices, procedures, and policies, including supervision and training.
