This position is responsible for providing internal and external customer service, and administrative and data entry services in support of the Human Resources Department.
Provides internal and external customer service for the Human Resources Department.
Answers multi-line telephone and direct calls.
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department
Assists the Pension Plan Administrator and Benefits Manager with the pension and the employee’s benefits plans.
Receives, processes, and distributes department mail.
Assist job applicants with filling out applications in the Neogov Application Management system.
Assists employees with tax questions and with changes to direct deposit, health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, address, and beneficiary information.
Orders office supplies and equipment; requests maintenance.
Provide notary public service as needed.
Assists with employment verifications.
Carries out a continuous effort to improve operations, and work processes; and works cooperatively and jointly to provide continuous improvement and customer-driven service.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and techniques of personnel administration.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules, and ordinances governing personnel activities.
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting practices.
Knowledge of the methods and techniques of research, statistical analysis, and report presentation.
Knowledge of office administration practices and procedures such as letter writing and the operation of standard office equipment.
Knowledge of Neogov Application Management System or other governmental application management systems.

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table with intermittent bending, crouching, or stooping. The employee must occasionally lift light objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:

Repetitive Motion – substantial movements of wrists, hands, fingers.

Talking 2 – shouting to be heard above ambient noise.
