Column is looking to hire a full-time Field Marketing Manager to work with our Partnerships and Growth team as our first event planning hire. The Field Marketing Manager will report to our Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for building out and overseeing the process for generating leads and elevating our brand visibility at events across the publishing industry and other adjacent audiences served by Column's current and future products.
What You'll Do
- First Week: You will meet fellow members of the Partnerships and Growth team as well as close colleagues on the Brand and Communications team.
- First Month: You will develop and share a comprehensive events calendar with a set of standard guidance, best practices, and tasks required for the execution of events. You will secure Column's attendance, sponsorship, and presence at all meaningful publishing industry events scheduled through Q2 2022.
- First Six Months: You will support the Brand and Communications team on the execution of an upcoming product launch. You will establish standard key performance indicators to tell a story about the return on investment of events for our multi-product, multi-market universe.
- First Year: You will plan and execute Column's first ever user's summit!
Our Ideal Candidate
- You have experience organizing, planning, and executing events for B2B, technology, startup, media, or comparable markets or industries
- You are a detail-oriented person with a track record of strong project management involving multiple stakeholders
- You are a goal-oriented individual who takes pride in developing and meeting or exceeding key performance indicators
- You are comfortable developing and sticking to event budgets that deliver intended business outcomes
- You are a true creative who enjoys designing content (e.g., RSVPs, booth, etc.) that promotes and delivers a memorable event
- You have a strong desire to exemplify our operating principles — be worthy of trust, do the hard work, never stop learning, intentionally build community, and tell a better story.

Compensation & Benefits
Our benefits will grow as fast or faster than we do, starting with:
- Base salary of $72,000 – $102,000 per year commensurate with experience, plus a stock options and a 401k with 5% match
