Key Responsibilities:
- Focal procurement agent for all inner company purchases and logistics of Satellite Communications (SATCOM) antennas.
- Manage the end-to-end inner company supply chain relationship with business sites for strategic buys and ensure timely delivery of products for the Business Unit.
- Manage procurement team and work together on purchasing strategy.
- Work with Inside Sales to meet schedule.
- Help resolve all procurement issues with sales, engineering, quality, and operations.
- Negotiate and issue purchase orders directed by purchase requisition or MRP action message in accordance with planned inventory strategies.
- Review MRP requirements to ensure component deliveries are scheduled in line with production requirements; review and issue purchase orders and make necessary changes to requirements, schedule, and price.
- Analyze and process supplier notifications.
- Manage the communication and expedition of all engineering changes and schedule changes.
- Monitor the delivery status of scheduled receipts to ensure on-time delivery to the needed date.
- Research vendors and develop new and alternative sources of supply where vendors and preferred suppliers are inadequate.
- Continually monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance of suppliers.
- Ensure timely disposition and return of any non-conforming supplier material ensuring rapid replenishment to support production needs.
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities including internal and vendor communications; negotiate price changes, revised terms, and special arrangements with vendors.
- Maintain key Supply Chain performance indicators such as SOTIF, and SDPPM.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a supply chain organization.
- Previous experience as a buyer within an Aerospace manufacturing company is an advantage.
- Experience of influencing and/or negotiating.
- Experience of supplier relationship management.
- Ability to work to financial and time sensitive constraints.
- Computer knowledge including proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, Teams, and Internet.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in business, operations, supply chain or related field.
- Experience in Satellite Communications (SATCOM) antenna procurement.
- 5 years of experience in an AS9100 environment.
- 5 years of experience in ERP system.
