Job Summary

Responsible for sourcing product, technical and network specifications from offnet access vendors to conduct evaluation of most optimal access vendor that meets the business need. Identify gaps in vendor requirements and drive closure of critical gaps. Conduct analysis and provide recommendations on most optimal vendor solution. Onboard new and existing vendors into the company's business process and systems work streams. Create summaries of onboarded vendors and maintain vendor scorecards and playbooks for use by partner departments. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Vet new vendors, access methods and footprints in accordance with target operational and network performance SLAs.
  • Ensure vendors whom are chosen have optimal pricing, product and footprint capabilities that support sales and product targets.
  • Ensure optimal offnet NNI configurations for new and existing vendors in accordance with the company's engineering and network topology.
  • Drive continued optimization and expansion of access vendor options and work with product and technology teams to productize new access methods.
  • Onboard new vendors by leading integration of vendor process and procedure guidelines in to operational teams.
  • Pull together vendor pricing, product and footprint capabilities that support sales and product targets into scorecard.
  • Provide visibility into vendors being used and maintain a list of vendors.
  • Gather requirements and make a determination of best fit vendor based on SLA, pricing and process.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
