NII Guidance Manager
The NII Guidance Manager oversees the modeling and analytical processes to develop net interest income and margin forecasts for senior management during the monthly forecast process. In addition, the position supports other processes such as ad-hoc internal capital stress testing, goodwill impairment analysis, and strategic planning all of which may require the use of advanced analytical software. The Specialist provides assistance in the development of new analytical approaches to advance NII/NIM forecasting and leverage the modeling software. The specialist will also interact with other areas within Finance and the Lines of Business (LOBs) to ensure accurate assumptions are applied.

Position Responsibilities:
Forecasting / Analysis:
Forecasting / Analysis:
- Applies advanced knowledge of NII modeling software to produce regular forecasts of NII/NIM and corresponding analysis in support of regular business activities, ALCO, Investor Relations, and other business needs.
- Oversee use of complex statistical models and/or Data Accuracy & Validation -Utilize supplementary models, ensuring accuracy and applicability (e.g. Deposit Characterization, prepayments, etc.)
- Extract data, validate for accuracy and make observations / recommendations to support Comerica's NII/NIM forecasting and guidance.
- Run risk models and create understandable exhibits from output -Use balance sheet knowledge to devise strategies or analyses that address potential risks.
Governance and Compliance:
- Coordinates with other team members the governance process by supervising and reviewing the preparation, of various reports and communications for senior management, the Board, the Federal Reserve, and various other internal and external constituents.
- Ensure review and compliance with any or all of the following: Comerica's Asset Liability Management Policy, Market Risk Oversight Policy, the Interagency Advisory on Interest Rate Risk.
Model Development and Testing:
- Lead in the building or upgrade and testing of models related to key assumptions and results.
- Leading development of forecasting software to become a more comprehensive and accurate tool.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree preferred
- 8 years of Banking or Finance experience
- 7 years of Forecasting experience
- 7 years of Working proficiently with all skill levels of management and staff
8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday This position offers a hybrid work model that includes onsite and remote days as determined by the manager. This position is currently located in Dallas however, will be relocating to Frisco.
