Front Desk Agent and Night Auditor
Comfort Inn & Suites in the Yuma Foothills is searching for Front Desk Agents. A Front Desk Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking guests out of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Fulltime (30-40 hours/week) and Part-time (as needed, up to 28 hours/week) positions available. Starting wage is $15.00/hr or more depending on experience. Highly skilled front desk agent with previous experience with upper mid-scale hotel, preferably with Hilton or Marriott brand or similar is will be eligible for hiring bonus after one month.

A day in the life:
- Greet guests and complete the registration process to include, but not limited to, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, coding electronic keys, providing a welcome packet and ensuring guest knows location of room.
- Assist guests with check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to, room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area and other general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries,
- Create room reservations and respond to guest inquiries regarding reservation.
- Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximize room occupancy
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction
- Count the number of rooms occupied on the rack or computerized Expected Arrivals Report.
- Block rooms and insert the room number assigned on the Expected Arrivals Report. Ensure that guests’ last name, check-in and check-out dates have been posted.
- Review the Housekeeping Report to ensure that it conforms to the rack or in-house guest list.
- Review all check-out folios to ensure a zero balance and that approval codes have been posted for all credit card vouchers.
- Notify the Executive Housekeeper of all stay overs and late or early check-outs.
- Contact any guests who were scheduled to check out, but have not done so, by noon and determine their revised check-out date (AM clerk).
- Replenish front desk supplies.
- Check the front desk for cleanliness and order.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills you’ll need:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior hotel front desk experience preferred.
- Prior mid-scale hotel experience highly desirable.
- Ability to stand/walk for majority of the shift.
- Prior mid-scale hotel experience h.
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to follow safety procedures.
