PIPE APPRENTICE
Summary
As a Pipe Apprentice, you will assist with the assembly, layout, installation, and maintenance of HVAC pipe systems.

As a Pipe Apprentice, you will assist with the assembly, layout, installation, and maintenance of HVAC pipe systems.
Job Duties
- Assist with preparation, fabrication, installation, and fitting of pipe to specifications
- Assists with the installation of chilled, hot and steam piping
- Assist with the installation of valves, hangers, supports, and flanges inside HVAC piping systems
- Prepare pipe and fittings for hoisting and rigging
- Basic use of hand and power tools
- Able to work off ladders, man lifts and other equipment from various heights
- Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned
Requirements
- 1 or more years of experience working with the HVAC piping trade preferred
- Current/valid Apprentice license in applicable state
- Experience welding on carbon steel preferred
- Willingness to learn to read blueprints and shop drawings
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to read a tape measure
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (company will provide if needed)

- Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills
- Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed
- Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening
- Ability to pass MVR check
- Ability to travel, as needed, for projects
General Requirements
- Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a physical ability assessment.
- Willingness to travel, as needed based on project needs, may include overnight travel.
Compensation
Wage Range Starting at: $16.00 /hr. based on qualifications & experience
