Description
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
- Work within expense limits established.
- Coordinate special projects as directed by the Supervisor.
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance services as scheduled.
- Carry pager/cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.
- Responsible for alerting the Facilities Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or that may occur.
- Maintain professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
- Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
- Performing general physical activities that require the use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body for (not limited to) lifting, balancing, walking, stooping to relocate furniture, appliances, maintenance materials, and maintenance equipment, installing protective drop cloths, masking all edges as necessary as well as for painting walls, ceilings, etc.
- Ensure completion of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
- Basic maintenance skills a plus.
- Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
- Responsible for painting needs in the Philadelphia, Montgomery and Northampton County Areas. May be asked to do additional projects within the COMHAR Maintenance Department.
Requirements
- HS or GED 4 years maintenance experience required.
- Painting experience should include all aspects of wall preparation, repairs to sheetrock, taping, spackling, priming and painting.
- Ability to finish woodwork.
- Maintenance skills a plus.
- Valid driver’s license is and on-call cell phone coverage required.
