Position Description: Insurance Advisors at Comma provide prospect-focused insurance solutions delivered on time, every time, for a growing network of trusted referral partners. They advise as Insurance Agents to provide appropriate product recommendations and knowledgeable advice to help them select the right Property, Casualty, and Life insurance products to protect themselves and their family. Successful candidates for this position will provide incredible service while solving the insurance needs of the people and families they help. In addition to serving prospects referred by the owners of the Comma branch, Insurance Advisors build prospect pipelines through networking, client referrals, and social channels.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Interact with prospects, clients, and colleagues in a proactive, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
  • Build trust quickly and effectively with prospects over digital channels such as video, phone, email, and SMS.
  • Effectively equip prospects for their decisions regarding insurance by asking the right questions, doing accurate and timely product research and quoting, and explaining the available options concisely.
  • Cultivate prospective new business contacts through cold calls, emails, referrals, and networking.
  • Field underwrite, countersign, and respond to underwriter follow-ups on all new policies sold.
  • Retain proper records of all transactions and maintain up-to-date client-specific notes, stored appropriately in Commas system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge and Education Requirements -
  • At least a high school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Maintain a valid P&C, and Life Insurance License
  • Valid Driver's License (or alternate, reliable means of transportation)
  • A genuine desire to help people
  • Previous sales experience (does not have to be within the insurance industry)
  • Operates with a high degree of integrity
  • Resolves challenges with a winning mindset
Skills and Abilities -
  • Proficient technology skills to navigate a variety of internal platforms and more than a dozen external carrier platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required establish trust among clients
  • Ability to prioritize various tasks effectively and own a task or procedure from start to finish
  • Consistently deliver a client-focused experience using multiple channels such as phone, video, email, and SMS
  • Understand and be able to explain various types of personal insurance coverage to consumers with little knowledge of how insurance works
  • Empathetic, active listening skills with the ability to ask appropriate, effective follow up questions
  • Well-developed, internal drive to win with an innate ability to push through setbacks on the way to victory
  • Builds new relationships effectively and is confident in prospecting for new business opportunities
  • Interacts effectively with account managers, producers, and other colleagues to deliver a seamless, professional client experience
  • Reliably follows a consistent sales process to ensure all prospects receive an adequate level of care and follow up
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
