What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADMINSTRATIVE OFFICER position at Commander, Navy Installations?
This position acts as the primary administrative support that assists and coordinate closely with internal and external division heads and activity managers within Fleet Readiness Program Naval Base Kitsap area. Employee privileges include access to base facilities such as gyms, Navy Exchange recreation centers, restaurants, and discount tickets to sporting and entertainment events
Qualifications:
Knowledge of duties, priorities, commitments, policies, and program goals of the staff sufficient to perform assignment such as reviewing publications, directives, and other materials which may affect the division and taking appropriate follow-up actions; and to anticipate and prepare materials the supervisor needs in order to respond to correspondence or phone calls. Knowledge of personal computers and experience with software such as Microsoft products including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience should include skill in word processing, spreadsheets, database management systems, Power Point presentations and requires incorporating date from various sources. Knowledge of personnel and position management principles including recruitment, selection, hiring and general provisions for the needs of human resources in the organization. Experience in leading or supervising a work unit or team.Responsibilities:
This position supports the MWR Director and the various branch managers. Performs operational and administrative duties for a multi-faceted, moderately complex organization, where there is a system of formal internal procedures and administrative controls. Must exercise continuous attention to the coordination among internal or external work units, Holds a supervisory responsibility for lower level administrative support positions and activities such as a cash cage or other operational support activity. Manages program personnel on administrative policies, procedures and practices. Maintains an accurate online file system and hard copy documents to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information. Serves as the point of contact for ordering base telephones, ordering and distributing cell phones, validates monthly phone bills, key control, monitor and report progress on mandatory training reports and other various reports. Assigned as NAF credit card holder. Oversee central cash operation. Manages cash control, distribution and collection functions supporting local base level activities. Supervises approximately five (5) employees which includes administrative assistants and three (3) NF-02 cash clerks. Assists with the development, tracking and execution of the annual non-appropriated fund operating budget. Performs other duties as assigned.Salary : $23 - $27
