Overview:
Assuming overall responsibility for the strategic management of the warehousing, logistics, and inventory within Dover Street Market New York, Dover Street Market Los Angeles and Comme des Garcons. The ideal candidate will be an analytical, innovative, organized leader who can manage our business in a scalable way to support rapid growth and our long-term business strategy.
Key Objectives:
- Responsible for managing a cross-functional team to lead all aspects warehousing, logistics, and inventory within Dover Street Market New York and Comme des Garcons
- Ensure company-wide operations are structured to efficiently support all areas of this business
- Identify areas of process improvement, build in efficiencies, and execute change
- Ensure that operational policies and procedures are developed, effectively implemented and maintained to achieve organizational consistency and efficiency across special projects, information technology and facilities management
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Logistics and Business Operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate tools and process improvements
- Assess business trends and actively partner with executives, department heads, and store managers to strategize and drive business initiatives
- Support the executive team through business planning, strategy, and special projects
- Identify areas of process improvement, build in efficiencies, and execute change
- Partner with all 3rd Party systems teams to action requests and manage large scope projects
- Partner with Inventory Control Manager and Shipping and Logistics Manager to maintain relationship with 3PL
- Develop and manage scalable internal SOPs and expectations, implement training, as well as external-facing documentation and messaging
- Constantly look to improve our warehouse efficiencies by developing studies and cost containment exercises
- Partner with Store Management to determine the operational needs of each store and provide solutions for stock management, efficiency in the selling ceremony, and general operational needs in the store
KPI’s/Deliverables:
- Ensure company Business Operations, Warehouse, and Logistics are set up in a way that excellently supports all aspects of the business
- Strategic planning and project management through a critical path
- Improve stock position and actively manage stock opportunities at our warehouse and in-store
- Manage cost containment and reduction opportunities across relevant areas of the business
- Growth and development of associates
- Clear communication across all cross-functional departments
Education and Experience
- Experienced and well-rounded leader with a broad understanding of operations (3-5 years)
- 5 years of relevant project management and operations experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite skills preferred
- Critical path mindset on approaching project management challenges
- Ability to oversee vendors/partners/contractors
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to liaise with all aspects of the business
- Work with a high sense of urgency and be adept to prioritizing your time
