Summary

  • Perform commercial construction installations, adjustments and replacement of refrigeration components for VRF heating and air systems.
  • Assemble fabricated, structual and functional components of refrigeration systems, using hand and power tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications or diagrams for installations.
  • Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments, to determine if they are operating properly.
  • Charge systems with refrigerant by pumping specified gas or fluid into the system.
  • Test lines, components and connections for leaks.
  • Perform with little supervision.

Requirements

  • Aptitude for a technical and mechanical role and willingness to learn about refrigerant units.
  • 2-3 years of HVAC/Sheet Metal work experience in commercial construction settings, including previous experience with VRF systems.
  • EPA refrigerant certification.
  • Successfully pass a drug screen, physical and background check.
