Responsibilities

Patients on this unit are dealing with difficult diagnoses. Our ideal nursing candidate will have the proven ability to exercise patience, flexibility, and careful listening when their efforts are often tested. This nurse will strive to calm patients when they become agitated, strengthen patients coping skills, and make it a build a therapeutic, meaningful relationship.

Evaluate and treat mental health needs of adult psych patients

Collaborate with healthcare team members and physicians to develop care plans

Support the personal care of geri-psych patient population

Educate and support patients, their caregivers, and families

Maintains confidentiality and dignity of patients

Proven ability to exercise patience and understanding in high stress situations

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program

Active nursing license in the state of Arkansas or license with eNLC privilege

One (1) year of experience is a Registered Nurse

Basic Life Support (BLS)
