Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Assists the Professional Therapy staff inpatient and/or outpatient (Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists) with the provision of a variety of therapy procedures and modalities as specified in the therapy treatment plan. Cleans therapy equipment and stocks therapy supplies. Keeps documentation of patient lists, schedules, and assists in patient record charting as appropriate.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required (CT CPRBLS)
Preferred:
- Previous work experience, at least one year, in an acute hospital or outpatient rehabilitation setting assisting physical or occupational therapists in carrying out assigned patient treatments is preferred.
- Training or experience with word processing electronic medical record knowledge of general medical terminology and rehab specific diagnoses and conditions preferred.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
