The hospital offers a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) through a partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. STAFF NURSE II performs the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic care for patients with overt and covert needs in supervised situations, for the adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population. Performs the nursing process for patients in more complex situations with assistance and supervision. Assists with managing the patient care administered by other member of the nursing staff. Assumes the responsibilities of Primary Nurse and Team Leader.

Experience/License/Registration/Certification:
- One year Medical Surgical ICU experience or equivalent critical care experience
- ASN or Nursing Diploma Required
- Current CA RN
- Current BLS
- Current ACLS
- Current NIHSS Stroke
- Proficient in English, verbal, and written communication skills and computer skills required
Preferred:
- One year CVICU experience
- One year Neuroscience ICU experience
- BSN
- CCRN Certification
- IAPB Certification
- Proficient in cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring IABP, Impella, ECMO, CRRT training
