JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Nurse II is responsible for direct and indirect delivery of patient care for a wide variety of patient populations through the use of the nursing process and maintenance of the standards of professional nursing practice. The Registered Nurse promotes compliance and support of policies and achieves trust in professional collegial relationships.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in critical care setting strongly preferred, but combination of education, other experience and specialty training may be considered.
- Must have a valid California RN license, BLS and ACLS certification (AHA-approved).
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred:
· One year IV Therapy experience
· BSN
· PICC Insertion Certification
· CareConnect MAR experience.
· Experience with electronic medical record preferred.
Language Skills:
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of patients or employees.
Mathematical Skills:
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
· Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
· Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
