What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Service Representative (at our second location in Shelbyville on 73 Jeannie Drive) position at Commonwealth CU?

Our Financial Service Representatives (FSRs) are considered the 'face' of our great organization. For that reason, qualified applicants must embody our values of integrity, commitment and genuine care for others. They must also be willing to maintain a professional image - both in appearance and communication.
Our FSRs consistently provide quality member service. They professionally handle our members' financial needs--including performing account transactions, completing loan applications, opening new memberships, and Individual Retirement Accounts. They complete all account maintenance requests--including assistance with account discrepancies, fraud disputes, wire transfers, account closings, etc. They maintain knowledge of products and services to confidently support the credit union's sales efforts. They consult with members to match credit union products and services with their needs.
The duties of a Financial Service Representative include, but are not limited to:
- Utilizing a consultative approach in identifying current and future financial needs of members--to effectively promote and sell credit union products and services
- Representing the credit union in a courteous and professional manner by providing prompt, efficient, and accurate service--effectively utilizing all forms of communication, including Synapsis (CRM), in a clear and concise manner
- Taking ownership of personal and professional growth--seeking opportunities through cross-training and committee memberships
- Displaying commitment and dependability through self-awareness, and creating positive team relationships, sharing a sense of urgency, and providing exceptional internal service
- Maintaining knowledge and a heightened awareness of all organizational security matters--including physical security, confidentiality, compliance, and cybersecurity--immediately communicating any suspicious activity to management
SATURDAY HOURS ARE REQUIRED.
MAY BE ASKED TO ASSIST AT OTHER BRANCH LOCATIONS IN SHELBYVILLE AND LOUISVILLE, IF NEEDED.
