JOB SUMMARY:
Provide exceptional patient centered ophthalmic surgical care in a clinical setting. Excellent benefits and bonus potential. Structured training process. Close interactions with patients. Environment focused on positive team dynamics.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma; some college or Medical Assisting preferred
2. Certified Ophthalmic Assistant desired, but will train
3. CPR certification, will train
4. HIPAA compliance, will train

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Communication and Patient Care
2. Acquaint all new patients with office procedures to which they will be exposed. Inform patients of the purpose of all tests personally performed and how the patient will be affected during the tests.
3. Obtain patient history and data entry
4. Performs accurate and consistent documentation and adherence to clinical policies and protocols
5. Opportunities to assist with data tracking and studies
6. Ability to be trained to perform diagnostic testing with accuracy and efficiency
7. Other responsibilities as determined by Supervisor, Manager or Doctors
Physical/Mental Demands: Requires good mobility and standing for extended periods of time. Ability to sit and stand easily and support patients in these movements if needed. Proficient comprehension and memory required.
Environmental/Working Conditions: High volume, high pace office environment.
