By joining the Division of Information Systems/Information Technology Branch/Operations Section as a Database Analyst IT in Franklin County, you will have the chance to work closely with a knowledgeable team to learn to support agency software database applications that are integral in EEC's mission of protecting the environment.
This Database Analyst IT position offers a rewarding and exciting opportunity to work with a group of dedicated IT professionals who provide mission critical services to the citizens of the Commonwealth on a daily basis.
Responsibilities and job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and/or modify complex queries, create database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, user- defined functions), in the support of EEC Applications.
- Work as a team to support Tools for Environmental Management and Protection Organizations (TEMPO)and the applications that flow data to and from the database application,including eForms, which are smart web-based forms.
- Serve as Tier I and Tier II support for the EEC Helpdesk for all Cabinet applications handled by Operations section.
- Work closely with IT staff, agencies and the Environmental Project Agency (EPA) in flowing data to and from EEC/EPA.
- Assists in the Installation of new builds of EEC applications. Communicate all deadlines with team lead and management prior to each project milestone.
Preferred skills and knowledge may include but are not limited to the following:
- Experience in Oracle PL/SQL, creating database objects and complex reports.
- Experience in application development, systems analysis, and system support.
- Ability to understand complex business processes, gather requirements, work efficiently and verify results.
- Experiencein managing projects.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
