Description
The Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) mission is to lead with integrity by illuminating a path of skills and knowledge that enhances law enforcement agencies and communities within the Commonwealth. DOCJT is located in Richmond, Kentucky. The Department requires an energetic and dynamic individual who will work in a role that supports its team of professionals and client agencies. The right candidate will have the chance to join an exciting group of professionals. This posting is for a Resource Management Analyst II in the Commissioner’s Office within our Staff Services and Planning Section.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The right candidate will have the chance to join an exciting group of professionals. This posting is for a Resource Management Analyst II in the Commissioner’s Office within our Staff Services and Planning Section.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Deploy survey instruments in the agency’s learning management system; process course critiques; create and distribute reports.
- Analyze data and create agency reports in conjunction with the Administrative and Training Operations Divisions.
- Maintain academy databases using Microsoft Office products, online software, and the agency’s training management system.
- Create custom queries and reports using multiple databases.
- Assist with the operating functions of PowerDMS in support of the policy review process and compliance with accreditation standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong aptitude in customer service and recordkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access beneficial.
- Analytical and report writing skills.
- Knowledge of the survey process.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Frequently communicate in person or by other means of technology.
- Spend a major portion of time using a computer.
- Work overtime or alternate work schedules
- Travel required (state vehicle provided).

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of systems analysis, business administration, or public administration experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Related technical or vocational training will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year for year basis. A master's degree in computer science, business or public administration will substitute for one year of the experience requirement.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in computer programming, systems analysis, information services, research and statistics, business administration, or public administration will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
