THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Travel may be required throughout Pennsylvania.
- Salary: Salary is negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- Six years as a Human Resource Specialist in the PGCB; or
- Six years of progressively responsible professional human resource experience, four of which include serving in a supervisory capacity, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes four years in a professional supervisory capacity.

- Public service position classification, including techniques for specialized needs and occupational groupings
- Employee training and development
- Employee selection and placement

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Certification in SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR and PHR.
- Understanding of the Commonwealth's human resource and payroll system (SAP).
Legal Requirements:
- Employment is contingent upon the completion of a Personal History Questionnaire with a thorough background investigation, including drug screening and the subsequent review and approval by the Board.
