We're looking for friendly, motivated individuals to help deliver outstanding customer care in the fast-paced environment of our Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores! If you are interested in food and wine pairing and assisting customers this would be an opportunity to share and expand your knowledge!
Employees in this job supervise, manage and direct activities in state-owned Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. Assistant managers supervise a shift, participating in a variety of sales activities including receiving shipments, stocking products, and provide excellent service to all customers in a clean and safe store environment. Throughout operations, Assistant Managers will assign and inspect the work of Liquor Store employees and instruct employees in the proper application of policies and procedures. Assistant Managers assist General Managers, who are accountable for the entire store operation which includes sales, store maintenance, merchandise and cash accounting, maintenance of records and all related functions.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, Sunday- Saturday. Work schedule will vary.
- Salary: The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2; or
- Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or an Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk; or
- One year of lead retail sales work.

- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
