This position assists in Requests for Bids as relates to Modernization Department which includes Advertising, Bid Packets for Potential Bidders, Receiving Closed Bids, Bid Opening and Maintaining Paperwork and files. Under the supervision of an administrator, carries out all policies adopted by a Housing Authority in regard to any of the functions of the Authority. Performs liaison work between the administrator, executive secretary, and the supervisors or employees of the Housing Authority such as incoming/outgoing mail/emails, newly created forms, attendance calendars, HUD's PIH Notices, HUD's Federal Registers, etc. by distributing to the proper Supervisors for Supervisors to review with their Department Personnel. Attends Conferences or seminars. Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with other governmental agencies; represents the administrator at meetings and conferences. May be assigned responsibility for a function or functions of the Housing Authority such as assisting Executive Secretary with Payroll or attending Board Meetings in Executive Secretary's absence. Reviews and replies to correspondence; disposes of other administrative details as directed. Performs related work as required.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as a staff assistant to an administrator or as a technician in a staff service of a large organization; and graduation from high school; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Washington County. If no eligible candidates who live within Washington County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
