This role serves as the Chief of the Real Estate and Facilities Management Section, directly reporting to the Chief of the Division of Office Planning and Facility Support Services. The individual in this position oversees both technical and administrative personnel within the section. Key responsibilities include the comprehensive management of facilities across the state, administration of the real estate leasing program, oversight of security systems, fire safety protocols, evacuation strategies, and the integration of green technology in the context of new construction and ongoing maintenance of facilities within the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week (Monday and Friday). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • This position may require travel as needed.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $66,250.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 2; or
  • Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training. 

 

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
